Brief Description
The Nigerian Navy is a branch of the Nigerian Armed Forces. The force is a water-focused military force.
The structure of the Naval Headquarters in Abuja has three operational commands with headquarters in Lagos, Calabar, and Bayelsa.
The Nigerian Navy Training command’s headquarters is currently located in Lagos, Nigeria, but with training facilities for the force spread all over Nigeria.
The five operational bases of the Nigerian Navy with two more soon to come on stream are categories as follows; two dockyards located in Lagos and Port Harcourt and two fleets based in Lagos and Calabar.
