This article is aimed at the step by step process to getting your National Identity Card the electronic version available on both IOS and Android.

Step 1: you must have completed your National Identity Card Enrolment.

• visits the official website of NIMC (www.nimc.gov.ng)
• then pre-enrols online using the Pre-enrolment Portal (https://penrol.nimc.gov.ng/).
• The enrolment is only completed after the applicant gets his or her biometric data (fingerprints, headshot photograph and signature) captured and processed by an Enrolment Officer at any NIMC Enrolment Centre.

Once you have completed the enrolment process you should have your NIN Number and the phone number used in completing the registration this is very important.

The details can be found on the two slips are generated and given to the applicant which are the Transaction Slip and the NIN Slip indicating completion of enrolment.

For IOS Users

Step 3: Fill in your correct details, double-check and hit the next button on the far right.

Step 4: Read the attestation and hit “I Agree” if you’ll like to continue the process.

Step 5: Input your desired pin number twice and click save button.

Congrats, you’re finally in and you can see your information from this page and download your National ID card.

There’s an integrity index on the page though and I don’t know how they measure that yet.
