How to Get your National Identity Card Electronic Version IOS & Android Users
This article aims to answer additional questions regarding the National Identity Card based on personal experience that may not be provided on the official website. It provides a step-by-step process for getting your National Identity Card, the electronic version of which is available on both ios and Android.

Step 1: You must have completed your National Identity Card Enrolment.
- Visit the official website of NIMC (www.nimc.gov.ng)
- Then, pre-enrol online using the Pre-enrolment Portal (https://penrol.nimc.gov.ng/).
- Enrolment is only completed after the applicant has had his or her biometric data (fingerprints, headshot photograph, and signature) captured and processed by an Enrolment Officer at any NIMC Enrolment Centre.
Click here to view all NIMC Enrolment Centres and DO NOT Enrol more than once
Once you have completed the enrolment process, you should have your NIN Number and the phone number used to complete the registration. This is very important.
The details can be found on the two slips generated and given to the applicant, the Transaction Slip and the NIN Slip, indicating completion of enrolment.
Step 2: Visitthe Google Play Store and install the NIMC mobile app Click here for a direct link to download the app for Android users >> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nimcmobile

For IOS Users
Visit the IOS Store and install the NIMC App. Click here for a direct link for IOS Users >>> https://apps.apple.com/ng/app/nimc-mobileid/id1500621463

Step 3: Fill in your correct details, double-check and hit the next button on the far right.

Step 4: Read the attestation and hit “I Agree” if you’d like to continue the process.

Step 5: Input your desired PIN twice and click the save button.

Congrats! You’re finally in, and you can view your information from this page and download your National ID card.

The page has an integrity index, though, and I don’t know how they measure that yet.

Do you have any challenges with the app? Visit any of the NIMC offices to register a complaint and have it resolved immediately.
