Production Officer Job Responsibilities
The Production Officer will directly oversee all rope-closing activities in the Steel Wire Rope Plant, ensuring the suitability of machinery and personnel at all times.
Production Officer Job Duties include:
- To oversee all activities of the closing section operators and ensure that any necessary adjustments or corrections to the closing machine are made promptly.
- Responsible for the safe-keeping of closing section tools and equipment, as well as maintaining and updating the tools inventory record.
- Ensure the timely activation of closing section machines and grease heaters for each job daily.
- Verify that all jobs completed each day are accurately reported on the report form.
- Ensure that any tools used are cleaned before being returned to the toolboxes.
- Make sure operators consistently clean their machines and the working environment at the end of each day.
- Ensure that operators comply with the company’s Health, Safety, and Environment policies by regularly using the provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- In the absence of the closing section Engineer or Senior Officer, ensure that all necessary machine parameters are set to achieve standard rope formation prior to QA/QC inspection.
- Ensure that all manufactured ropes or cores (IWRC or Inner) are properly labelled for traceability.
- Supervise the loading of strand bobbins into the machine.
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Salary of a Production Officer

Educational Requirements

- 5 years of relevant experience. Membership in relevant professional bodies
