Finance Director Job Responsibilities
The Finance Director will manage the company’s Finance and Accounts functions to maximise shareholder wealth.
The Finance Director’s Duties include:
- Oversee the entire Accounts/Finance Department.
- Prepare monthly management and financial reports.
- Manage relationships with banks and secure funding for both short-term and long-term needs.
- Prepare the company’s annual budget and cash flow projections.
- Coordinate with tax authorities on tax-related matters.
- Liaise with relevant ministries to obtain asset certificates for new acquisitions.
- Attend management meetings and provide advice to ensure sound financial decisions that maximise shareholder wealth.
- Prepare and submit quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reports to meet statutory requirements.
- Conduct appraisals and assessments of capital projects.
- Coordinate the preparation of audit schedules and assist external auditors during year-end audits.
- Work with the company secretary to compile the annual report.
- Develop job descriptions, perform appraisals, and mentor finance staff.
- Organise quarterly and year-end stock-taking exercises.
- Manage the accounts of various company businesses, including joint ventures.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Managing Director as needed.
