Production Officer Job Responsibilities
The Production Officer would directly supervise all rope closing activities in the Steel Wire Rope Plant, ensuring pieces of machinery and personnel suitability at all times.
Production Officer Job Duties include:
- Supervise the closing section operators’ whole work and ensure that any adjustments or corrections required to operate the closing machine are made on time.
- Maintaining the tools inventory record and keeping the closure section’s equipment and tools safe.
- The grease heaters must promptly turn “ON” and close section machinery daily.
- To guarantee that all daily tasks are accurately and appropriately reported on the report form.
- Before putting any used tools back in the toolboxes, ensure they have been cleaned.
- Please make sure that, after each workday, personnel clean their machines and the area in which they operate.
- Ensure operators wear the supplied personal protective equipment regularly per the company’s health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- If the senior officer or engineer in the closing section cannot attend, ensure all machine parameters are adjusted to achieve standard rope forming before QA/QC inspection.
- To guarantee correct labelling for traceability on all produced ropes or cores (IWRC or Inner).
- The production officer will oversee the bobbin strands being loaded into the machine.
- Shall perform any additional tasks that are periodically allocated.

- SSCE and above.
- Five years minimum relevant experience
- A member of relevant professional bodies
- A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
